Winter in Sydney is anything but warm. The days are short and the beaches are chilly and bare. So that’s why I jetted up North to the stunning and brand new Halcyon House in Cabarita.
Halcyon House, Cabarita Beach, NSW. Australia.
Filled with style and beach house charm the Halcyon House is a relaxed and luxurious coastal-front boutique hotel representing tranquility and carefree days of summers past. Designed by the talented Interior Designer Anna Spiro, each room is specifically designed differently so that the guests are welcomed back to a brand new style of room to stay in (brilliant idea!). The rooms are filled with plenty of natural light, feature king size beds in each (bonus) and the bathrooms have all been fitted with beautiful English tapware, marble vanities and stunning handmade floor tiles you’ll want to snap your little tootsies on. Feel like a coffee or a bite to eat? Head downstairs to where you’ll find an award-winning chef who heads up Paper Daisy, a delicious in-house restaurant, and bar that you can dine at for lunch and dinner. But I mustn’t forget to mention the pool area. With a banquette of blue and white striped cushioned beds, chairs and umbrellas, you’d almost think that you were soaking up the sun rays in Europe somewhere.
Just 15 mins south of the Gold Coast airport, the boutique hotel is a big thumbs up from me and If you’re passing by or better still in the area, this place is a is a definite must-stay.
